Household Receipts: May vs June 2026

Brian and Kali Kennedy treated as one combined household account. The star of this report: where the extra software and equipment money comes from.

About the months shown. July receipts are not in the system yet, so this compares May and June 2026. One honest caveat sits over every combined number: Brian's June batch is not entered yet, so June is Kali only. That means June is understated and the +$330.02 change is a floor, not the final number.

How to read this report
  • Gray bars are May. Blue bars are June. In the vendor chart, orange bars going right mean June cost more, green bars going left mean June cost less.
  • Exact dollars sit next to every bar, so you never have to guess from bar length.
  • All amounts are shown as positive dollars spent, even where the bank export stored June as negative numbers.

Where the extra software money went

Combined software spend rose from $712.79 in May to $993.03 in June, a jump of $280.24. That one line is 85% of the entire combined household increase. Here is that jump broken down vendor by vendor.

Software vendors: change from May to June 2026

Each bar is the dollar change for one vendor, combined household. Orange right of the zero line means June cost more. Green left means June cost less. Sorted by change.

What moved and why

The steady base that did not move

Seven subscriptions were identical in both months, $202.95 per month either way.

T-Mobile church internet $120.00 WorshipHouse Media $21.64 Google One $21.31 Sunday Social $15.00 Opus Clip $9.00 T3 Chat $8.00 LemonSqueezy subtitles $8.00
Takeaway: the software increase is mostly Multitracks song purchases plus a few new one-time tools (Dante, Cloudflare), heavier Twilio texting, and a bigger Claude subscription. The fixed subscription base did not grow.
AI tools total (Claude subscription, Anthropic credits, OpenAI/ChatGPT): May $74.65 to June $131.60, up $56.95.

Equipment, next to software

Physical gear for the combined household. May was Brian's gear month ($543.25, 7 items). June was Kali's ($364.04, 4 items). Gear fell $179.21, with the caveat that June gear is likely understated since Brian's June batch is missing.

May equipment: $543.25

7 items, all Brian.

Interview recorder$129.10
Batteries$74.77
Mic stand$39.99

4 items, all Kali.

iPad (replaced a broken iPad)$129.00
Headphones and batteries$90.17
Sound-team gear for Matt$72.88
In-ear monitor$71.99
Takeaway: software rose +$280.24 while equipment fell $179.21, so combined tech crept up only about $101. Software growth is the real trend. Gear is lumpy one-time buys that traded Brian's May gear for Kali's June gear.

The Kali-only story

Kali is the only person with batches in both months, so hers is the only clean single-person comparison. Her jump from $515.20 to $2,184.16 (+$1,668.96, +324%) was driven by the Kennedy retirement event (about $748: cutouts $287.97, plates $215.94 and $71.98, fliers $172.54) and a wave of worship gear. This is the same June money counted above, viewed through one person.

Kali only: from $515.20 to $2,184.16

This waterfall is the Kali-only view. Start at her May total, add each one-time driver, and you land on her June total.

Check: $515.20 + $748.43 + $636.86 + $221.24 + $59.89 + $2.54 = $2,184.16.

Data quality and discrepancies

Things to know before quoting these numbers, plus small cleanups that would make future reports sharper.

1. No July batches yet A June-vs-July comparison cannot run. No July receipts exist in the system, so this report compares May and June instead.
2. Brian has May only, so June is a floor Brian Kennedy has a May batch but no June batch. Combined June is Kali only, June is understated, and the +$330.02 household change is a floor, not the final number.
3. Sign flip between months May amounts are stored as positive numbers and June amounts as negative, a bank-export convention. This is cosmetic. Real dollars spent are the same either way, and this report uses absolute values throughout.
4. Inconsistent vendor tagging The same vendor lands in different categories: Multitracks and the AI subscriptions (Claude, Anthropic) are split across categories in the same month. Minor, but worth cleaning up for cleaner reporting.
5. Other staff have June only Lindsey, Robert, Staci, Mandee, Judy, Joseph, Amy, Lupe, and Brian Loudermilk all have June batches but no May batch, so a church-wide month-over-month comparison is not possible.
6. Kali is the only two-month person Kali is the only person with batches in both May and June, so hers is the only clean single-person month-over-month story.

Bottom line

The combined household went from $1,854.14 in May to at least $2,184.16 in June, up $330.02 as a floor since Brian's June batch is missing. Software did nearly all the lifting: up $280.24, which is 85% of the increase, mostly Multitracks song purchases, a few new one-time tools, heavier Twilio texting, and a bigger Claude subscription. Equipment actually fell $179.21 as Brian's May gear traded places with Kali's June gear, so combined tech crept up only about $101. The steady subscription base did not grow at all.
